  4. Objectives • Assess and recommend alternative boat lines • Assess and determine precise counting locations for the Lagoon Wide Count • Monitoring traffic throughout the Lagoon with respect to commercial and public transportation

  39. Recommendations-Airport SITA buses Problem: • Transport few passengers (less than 3 passengers per bus) • Take money from the province Suggestion: • Eliminate the line • make them less frequent and use smaller buses.

  40. Recommendations-Airport • ALILAGUNA: • Direct line to San Marco • Advertisement on Murano exchange • ACTV and ATVO: • A large number of tourists are not aware that there are buses going to Venice • Advertisement on existing lines

  41. Recommendations-Future Studies • Regular studies to follow the changes in boat traffic • A larger group of people • Perform the counts for longer hours • Do more than one weekday and one weekend count • Carry out a survey
