  5. Windows mobile簡介 • Windows Mobile是Microsoft針對移動產品而開發的精簡作業系統。Windows Mobile 捆綁了一系列針對移動設備而開發的應用軟體，這些應用軟體建立在MicrosoftWin32API的基礎上。可以運行Windows Mobile的設備包括Pocket PC、Smartphone和Portable Media Center。該作業系統的設計初衷是盡量接近於桌面版本的Windows。

  7. Windows mobile版本歷史 • 原形為Windows CE，後開發出適用於手機及其他掌上設備作業系統，之後又將其整合於一起。在Windows Mobile 2003版本之前作業系統名稱為Pocket PC、Smart Phone等，後改為現名。目前最新版本為Windows Mobile 6.1。有用於掌上電腦的Windows Mobile for Pocket PC、用於手機的Windows Mobile for Smartphone、Windows Mobile for Pocket PC Phone和用於移動媒體的Portable Media Center三大版本。

  14. Smart Phone系列 • 開始菜單：類似於桌面版本的Windows，Windows Mobile for Smartphone的開始菜單主要由程序捷徑的圖標組成，並且為圖標分配了數字序號。 • 標題欄：Smartphone顯示各種信息的地方。如電池電量圖標，手機信號圖標，輸入法圖標以及應用程序放置的特殊圖標。類似於桌面windows中的標題欄加上系統托盤。 • 電話功能：應用對象均為智能手機，故電話功能是Smartphone的重要功能。電話功能很大程度上與Outlook集成，可以提供撥號，聯繫人，撥號歷史等功能。

Outlook：Windows Mobile均內置了Outlook Mobile。包括任務、日曆、聯繫人和收件箱。Outlook Mobile可以同桌面Windows系統的Outlook同步以及同Exchange Server同步（此功能需要Internet連接）Microsoft Outlook的桌面版本往往由Windows Mobile產品設備附贈。 • Windows Media Player：WMP是Windows Mobile的捆綁軟體。WMP支持WMA,WMV,MP3以及AVI文件的播放。目前MPEG文件不被支持，但可經由第三方外掛程式可以獲得支持。某些版本的WMP同時兼容M4A音頻。
