  2. PORAB PORAB stands for…. Pakistan Organization for Rural Advancement & Betterment. ______________________________________________ In south Asian languages, Porab is also used for rising sun or east. A few friends deeply moved by the poverty of their fellow countrymen especially those inhabiting the rural areas of Pakistan, decided to create a forum for brainstorming to devise multiple projects to mitigate the difficulties of these people.

FUTURE • The Porab is working for Capacity Development of those who are already employed in Public as well as Private Sector. • Porab is also planning for the skill development and training of unemployed youth of Sindh to enable them to get jobs and work as entrepreneurs. • Besides, Porab is also working for the Women Empowerment. • PORAB to design these training programs under the supervision and standards of an standard and recognized academia to give these programs credibility and maintain quality standards in trainings. • In all such training programs the certificates would be issued by the University which would help the trainees gain market acceptability. • Porab Would utilize, on usual terms and conditions mutually agreed through MOU/Agreement, the faculty and facility (either or both) of the University for its Public Sector/Private Sector/Donor Agencies funded training programs.
