Payment Options • Fee is $2500 plus $65 registration fee • Full State funding- must attend an orientation session (will be online this year) certify within 3 years, repay funds if certification not achieved • Subsidy Funding- pays ½ of the $2500, candidate pays other ½- **cannot receive retake funding if you choose this option but DO NOT have to repay funds if you don’t certify • Retake Subsidy Funding- available funding for up to 2 retake fees • Candidate pays

  5. What do I have to do?! A. 4 Portfolio Entries: 1. Instructional Collaboration 2. Fostering an Appreciation of Literature 3. Integration of Instructional Technologies 4. Documented Accomplishments: Contributions to Student Learning • 6 Assessment Center Exercises: 1. Organizational Management 2. Ethical and Legal Tenets 3.Technologies 4. Collection Development 5. Information Literacy 6. Knowledge of Literature

  6. After Certifying • Personal sense of empowerment • Serve as a mentor • Candidate Support Provider- *requires a “free” 2 day training • Serve as an assessor • Opens professional doors

  8. Recertification • May begin recertifying in your 8th year • If you do not recertify by the end of your 10th year you must start OVER • Consists of 1 entry to discuss what you have done professionally • No money to help recertify- cost is • You DO receive the state bonus when you recertify
