  1. A STRANGE STORY

  2. Skills Development A strange story This is a true history. My name´s Bill Mathews, and I´m living in Michigan near a lake. I had a little house and a small boat for fishing on the lake. One afternoon, I was in my house. It was summer, and the door was open. I was sitting near the window, and I was painting a picture of the lake. Suddenly , I heard a noise behind me. I look around. There was a little girl in my room. I didn´t know her. She was about nine years old. She was wearing a gold necklace with the letter H on it.

  3. “Please”, she said, “my name´s Haley, and I need your help. Now my sister Katrina, is in the lake. She´s sixteen, but she isn´t a very good swimmer. The lake is very dangerous, and my sister is very tired. She´s going to drown. Please hurry,” Then she ran out of the house. I ran out the house, too. I didn´t see the little girl anywhere. So I got into my boat and went to the middle of the lake. Suddenly I saw something in the water. It was Katrina. She wasn´t swimming. Her head was under the water. I pulled her out and took her back to my house. I gave her a hot drink and called a doctor. “Thank you,” she said.
