  2. Combination Lock There are 4 rollers located on the bottom of the lock that are numbered 0-9. Line up the combination code……… ……then push the shackle straight down to get the lock to release. Each year we reprogram the security locks. Contact MTSS for the current security combination.

Remote Control • Use the remote control to turn • on the projector. • Then use the input button to select between computer display or video/dvd playback.* • The speakers built into the projector are used for house sound, so use the volume buttons on the remote • control to adjust audio levels. • Note: The input options will be displayed in the upper right hand corner of the projection screen. • Input #1 is for computer display. • Input #3, is for video playback.   7. ON/OFF Switch for Remote …… There is a separate on/off switch for the remote control itself. It has to be powered on in order to get the other function buttons to respond.

Switcher Panel ….Computer Display Options l ….Video Display Options This panel found inside of the podium allows multiple devices, both internal and external, to be plugged into one control box, which then communicates with the lcd projector via a single cable. As the name suggests, all you have to do is ‘switch’ between formats. The top row of buttons, marked “VGA”, gives you computer display options. The bottom row, marked ‘’Video”, is for video/dvd playback.

The second button in each row is for personal, external devises that can be connected to the projector via an external patch panel. (The third and fourth inputs are empty)

  12. Audio Control The audio controls are located on the far right of the switcher panel. Select either “computer” or “video”, then use the “VOLUME” knob to adjust sound levels.

  13. Audio Controls Make sure that the amplifier is powered on, then adjust volume levels for either video playback (VID) or for computer- based audio files (IBM).

  14. 371 Willard: Tech Room/Video Conference Facility Room 371 Willard is designed primarily to be a video conference room. However, it can also be used as a basic technology classroom. It comes equipped with a Dell and a MAC computer, two ceiling mounted lcd projectors, and a vcr/dvd combination player. For tech room purposes, you will need to use the projector and screen that are closest to the podium. (the other projector and screen are for displaying the ‘far end’ of a two-way video conference). Screen controls are located on the wall directly behind the podium.

  17. Open the door at the far left of the podium to access the switcher panels. At the first panel (top left of switcher box array) select between computer or video. At the second panel (top right), select between IBM, Mac, or External Laptop. At the third panel (bottom left) select once again between computer or video.   18. Audio Control Dual audio-control switches are mounted on the left side of the switcher panel compartment.

  19. Because room 158 Willard was designed to be a 3-D graphics lab, there are actually four ceiling mounted projectors. However, only one of the four is designated for general classroom use. • As you stand facing the array of projectors, you will be using the unit mounted in the top, right corner.

  20. External Patch Panel There is an external patch panel available for those planning to use their own laptop or video equipment. VGA and audio cables are provided for laptop connections and can be found inside of the podium.

  21. USB Ports • There are 2 usb ports located at the front of each computer. Flip open the gray flap that displays the DELL logo and insert your external memory devise.

  22. And there you have it. Push a few buttons, dim the lights, and you have added a whole new dimension to your class presentations.

  23. Quick Review 1 Use the remote control to power on the projector. Be patient as the projector goes through its 10-15 second warm up cycle. 2 Use the remote control’s INPUT button(s) to select between computer display and video playback. 3 Match your format choice with the proper button on the switcher panel.The top row of buttons is for computer display, while the bottom row is for video. 4 Adjust volume levels as needed. 5 When finished,tap the off button on the remote control twice to power down the projector, and thensecure the podium.
