  1. Favorable Admissions in UtahUtah Legislature – March, 2013 A bill allowing Utah colleges to grant more out-of-state tuition waivers has passed the Utah Legislature. "We want to bring the best and brightest students to this state," Urquhart said. The bill requires out-of-state students to have test scores and grades that are above average for the institution, and encourages college presidents to focus on students who have an interest in "occupations critical to the state for which trained personnel are in short supply."

  6. WRAP-UP Each institution is different, but… Most require application completed by December 1. Most use the application for determination of scholarship level (not a separate paper process). Admissions more holistic and less restrictive than A-G.
