  4. Networkcriteria • 3 year training plan • All childminders to hold or be working towards level 3 qualification relevant to their childminding business. • Minimum 16 hours training per year. • Attendance at network evenings and support groups

  5. Funding • All level 3 qualifications to be fully funded • 3 funded ‘inset days’ per year for accredited childminders • 3 network evenings per year • Curriculum visits termly

  6. Where are we now ? • Base line percentage 29.9% ( 2005 ) • All childminders have training and development plan • Currently implementing systems for funded ’inset days’ • ICT project

  7. Where are we going ? • ICT project to all network childminders • Fully integrated into 12 children’s centres • All network childminders level 3 qualified by 2008 • Focus on inclusion training and heuristic play • Extend network to offer additional 20 places 2007 • Partnership working with other providers
