Long Baseline experiment (LBNO) Expression of Interest 3. nuSTORM (LOI at FNAL, preparing LOI for CERN) After Neutrino town meeting the community contribution expressed the priorities as 1. LBNO experiment 2. short baseline 3. Neutrino factory R&D and nuSTORM (assumed to take place in the US)

  8. NuSTORM -- the nuSTORMproposalisbased on MIND detectors -- the possibility of measuring cross-sections preciselyis unique but needs magnetized detectors -- the LBNO ND concept isperfeclysuited for nuSTORM (exceptthattheywanthydrogentarget – probablyeasier in Argon vessel!)

  9. Conclusions There isquite a future for the scintillatorbased detectors in LBNO -- MIND at far detector location -- TASD and MIND atnear detector in nuSTORM near detector concept excellent for nuSTORM
