  2. Data Mining • Definition • “data processing using sophisticated data search capabilities and statistical algorithms to discover patterns and correlations in large preexisting databases; a way to discover new meaning in data”

Data Mining • OK that was deep • Basically it’s the process of looking at • Key metrics • Analyzing the information • Looking for more information based on the analysis • Making decisions based on that to improve performance • Assessing the impact of those decisions • Bottom line… • Getting the information you need to perform your Auxiliary duties.

  5. What are my resources • Auxdata • Primary Auxiliary data input application. Has many canned reports. Access can be difficult. • Auxinfo • Allows the creation of reports based on Auxdata. Access is easy. • Auxofficer • Provides member information including qualifications.
