  7. Like your resume, but more detailed (use sentences not bullet points) • Include everything, no space limitations • Places not to put... Jobs like Forever 21, Frozen Yogurt, etc • If you do... Relate it to your goal, describe accomplishments (ex. Raised sales 10%) • Can include AOII Positions, and other leadership roles

Pictures of you volunteering at Feed My Starving Children • 35% of hiring managers google you • 23% look up your facebook (Pomenon Institute survey) • 1 reason: Its easier/faster than calling references

  20. Things to avoid on Facebook • Posting pictures/comments of illegal drugs (duh!) • Bad grammar/spelling • Public complaining – Don’t rant • Your status ≠ your therapist • Handles of alcohol in pictures

Facebook can be Good! • “Facebook Personality Score”(Illinois University) • Conscientiousness: well organized, hard-working • Emotional stability: no negative posts • Agreeableness: no facebook conflicts/heated debates • Extraversion: photos in social settings • Openness: travel and intellect • Look worldly • photos of trips to other countries • Show your smarts • update status with how much you enjoyed the book War and Peace • Have lots of facebook friends (Auburn University) • Remember you are not just representing YOU. You are a part of an organization bigger than that • Employers care about your facebook after you’re hired too!
