CCW Plant Expansion • Scope (WBS 1.05.03.04) • Five (5) bay expansion to the existing CCWF (B-0600), • Central Chilled Water (CCW) Plant expansion shared between NSLS-II and BNL • NSLS-II share is 3 bays & two chillers+- • Expansion of the CCW Pump House (B-0600A) by five (5) pump bays • Installation of two (2) 1,250-ton electric centrifugal chillers & associated pumps • Addition of two (2) cooling tower cells (cooling tower basin construction for 5 cells) • Addition to existing electrical substation • Associated electrical, mechanical, HVAC infrastructure and site work.

CCW Piping Scope (WBS 1.05.03.04) New 24” diameter CCW Supply, 24” diameter CCW Return & 3” diameter Compressed Air piping New piping extends between the existing CCW/CA mains on Rochester Street to a point at the edge of the NSLS-II Ring Building Construction site Total distance of approximately 1,100 feet Includes all excavation/backfill, valves, appurtenances and connections to existing CCW and CA mains and site restoration.
