New OMDS status • new OMDS hardware is ready at P5 • DB migration has started one week ago: RPC and ECAL the first • detector experts must be on call (RPC ?) • commissioning at P5 after the migration (March-April) • naming convention is almost OK for the RPC PVSS for Barrel RPC has been already migrated (G. Polese) XDAQ has been done by the central group !!! Who is in charge for that ?? CMS week - 26 Feb 2008

  3. Online application (XDAQ-PVSS-RC..) CMS DB “simplified” layout streaming POPCON Offline calibration • POPCON streams data from the OMDS to ORCON • ORACLE streaming copy data from ONLINE (ORCON) to ORCOFF • Could be necessary to move data also in the opposite direction: Import CMS week - 26 Feb 2008

POPCON 2_0_X • In the March GR will be used the POPCON 1_8_X • “new” POPCON framework (2_0_X) is now ready and under debugging • subsystem are moving to the 2_0_X • Central DB group is collecting and test the subdetectors POPCON applications • Central DB group will develop a unique and central script to run POPCON, manually and automatically. • monitor POPCON is under development (Michele, IT and Pietro Pica) CMS week - 26 Feb 2008

What we need for the April Global Run • Run with the new OMDS at P5 • barrel DCS are ready to do it • test the configuration and the XDAQ condition • do we want to store the XDAQ condition from PVSS (using PSX to get them) ?? or continue with the present DB schema ?? • run the 3 RPC POPCON 2_0_0 applications in a standalone and central way • do we need more POPCON applications ? • improve our trigger DQM (online and offline) CMS week - 26 Feb 2008
