  3. Who are the Families we want to reach? And what social media are they using?

What do we know about PEOPLE? • The World Population exceeds 700,000,000,000! • OVER 3,000,000,000 Internet users • OVER 1,300,000,000 Facebook users • 300,000,000 monthly active Instagram users • 70,000,000 Pinterest users • People are taking recommendations about anything and everything from their friends or their networkof friends.

INSTAGRAM • Online mobilephoto-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. • Instagram is a fast, fun way to share with others through a series of photos. • Use hashtags to help users find photographs and each other • By December 2014, Instagram had 300 million users accessing the site per month.

  12. SNAPCHAT • Photo-sharing service with one key distinguishing feature: the photos you send disappear. Seconds after opening "snaps," users can no longer access them and the images are deleted from the company's servers. • “It's cool, the pictures disappear, and you can just send them like you'd send a text." • "I use it to send amusing things to my friends that require more than a text. They aren't things I want to post on Facebook or Instagram and keep forever."

  14. VINE • Vine is a new mobile app that allows you to capture life from your mobile device in short, six-second looping videos. • Share these short videos with your Twitter followers and Facebook friends. Upload videos to Instagram.

  16. Facebook Analytics # of members in your group. New members who join per day/week/month. Ratio of new members to people who left the group. Ratio of members who are your Facebook friends vs. not. Engagement: Activity on Wall Posts and Discussion Boards. Members who also accepted invitations to join your events.
