Pics4Learning. 6 May 2014 <http://pics.tech4learning.com> The Pond & Ancestor Rock Going to the pond and soaking and clearing his head, Cole felt his anger disappear and his head was clear. With that, he learned to control his thoughts and his anger and made him become invisible. Becoming invisible attracted the Spirit Bear which was what gave Cole satisfaction. Releasing the ancestor rock let Cole feel relief as he rolled away the anger that had built up inside of him. Thinking about his father, Peter’s suicide attempts, his mother [sometimes]; those things all made Cole made angry…

  3. The Dances The most important dance Cole learned was ‘The Dance Of Anger’. The dance let him express what he had done to Peter and what he had endured from the Spirit Bear (physically). The dance was mostly about forgiveness. After punching the cedar, he sank to his knees, whispering, “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” But at the same time, words that he was never able to speak welled up inside him. “I forgive you.” He was able to forgive his father for all his beatings, because Cole’s father was beaten as a child.
