  1. SIGNIFICANCE OF SATYANARAYAN KATHA AND LAGHU RUDRA Satyanarayan katha is a story narrated for Lord Vishnu during satyanarayan puja. The word ‘Sathya’ means truth and ‘Narayan’ means ‘the highest being who is embodiment of truth’. When people seek good health, wealth, prosperity, education, and relief from troubles, satyanarayan puja is performed. This pooja is famous in the Indian states including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar, and Manipur. Satyanarayan puja is generally performed on the full moon day of every month. In addition to this, it is also performed in some festivals such as marriage, housewarming, etc. It is also believed that a couple will grant a baby if this ritual is performed. Even though it is mainly confined to full moon day, this pooja can be performed any day of the year. Moreover, this pooja is mainly performed in the evening rather than morning. Dissimilar to other poojas, satyanarayan puja can be done by anyone and it does not require any priest. When the entire world was suffering from malnutrition, Narada Muni went up to Lord Vishnu to perform Satyanarayan katha and end the sufferings. One of the key instructions of this puja is to call as many family members, friends and relatives to distribute fruits and foods. One of the most important segments during satyanarayan puja is the satyanarayan katha, where the devotees will narrate a story. The story can be broken into five segments, such as origin of the puja, benefits of the puja, potential mishaps that may occur to an individual or his/her family members should they forget to perform this pooja, magnitude of Lord’s benevolence, and the importance of the Prasad and consequences of snubbing the ritual. The pooja concludes by the participants taking aarti for Satya narayan. Laghu rudra is a pooja performed by Lord Shiva. Out of various forms, Lord Shiva enjoys Rudra form. Lord Shiva is also the destroyer of evil, provider for all our desires, peace, and fulfilment of inner self. Through the chanting of this pooja, one can intake the characteristics of Lord Shiva. In addition to the above benefits, this pooja is believed to be the strongest to destroy evil and for prosperity throughout the year. This could also prove to be a remedy for planetary fauls or doshas. It also gives success in life, career, and any kind of relationship. These are some of the advantages of performing this pooja. Both Satyanarayan katha and laghu rudra are available in the online puja section as well. Over the last few months, the rise of E-Puja is commendable because of the outbreak of the coronavirus. However, when things are brought back to normalcy, the use of online puja might drop a bit, but they will still be used by other devotees.

  2. Upon paying the cash and booking the time slot, one will receive a video link from the website or from a member of the organization. They will be able to watch the puja taking place in a temple from their own house. This is the functionality of online puja.
