  2. History Committee Project / Task Measurable Project 1 • One committee member is selected from each R10 Council. • One committee member is selected from the others. Project 2 • Compile the history of R10, the record of similar celebrations held in R10, for future reference. • Seek advices or opinions of experts, such as former R10 directors, regarding projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of R10. • Publish above information via R10 website. Project 3 • To be discussed in the set up committee. Project 4 • Spread the information of the latest Milestones awarded in R10via R10 Newsletter. Committee Structure • Chair: Isao Shirakawa • Members: TBD Objectives • Hold a celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of R10 in 2017. • Plan the events commemorating the 50th anniversary. • Encourage R10 sections to propose establishments attained in each section for IEEE Milestones. Projects / Tasks (2-3 projects to achieve committee’s objectives) • Organize an ad hoc committee for the 50th celebration of R10. 2. Investigate the history of R10, the record of similar celebrations held in R10, for future reference. 3. Design the celebration project. 4. Spread the awareness of IEEE Milestones Timeline • Project 1: Completion by August 2014. • Project 2: Completion by December 2014. • Project 3: Initial plan completion by December 2014. • Project 4: ad infinitum • Budget • Project 1: $0 • Project 2: $1,000 • Project 3: $0 • Project 4: $0 • Total Proposed Budget: $1,000

Appendices: Project 1 “committee formation” • Project description: • Organization of an ad hoc committee for the 50th celebration of R10 comprises one member from each council and several sections. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives?: • This ad hoc committee performs a role of planning the 50th celebration for multiple years. • Project measureable deliverables:See slide 2 • Budget breakdown: Total cost = $0 • Project Milestones leading to completion:August 2014

Appendices: Project 2 “R10 history and record” • Project description: • Investigate the history of R10, the record of similar celebrations held in R10, for future reference. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives?: • The 50th celebration is a good occasion to compile R10 history and record. This information can be used online/offline. • Project measureable deliverables:See slide 2 • Budget breakdown: Total cost = $1,000 • Visit IEEE Japan council office and ex-R10 directors: $300x3 • Office expenses: $100 • Project Milestones leading to completion:December 2014
