  2. What is domestic Violence? • Domestic Violence is the act of abusing behaviors against someone who got an intimate relationship with the abuser. Although domestic Violence can be presented in various forms, yet it mainly falls into two categories- physical and mental violence. Domestic violence could also be present in a plenty of words.

  3. Case Study: Domestic Violence in China • Li Yang (Crazy English) In September 9th, 2011. Li Yang, the founder of "Crazy English" learning course, is being accused of committing domestic violence against his wife by a user named "Li Na Hua's Mom” (Who was exactly his wife)on Sina micro-blog. The Photos showed upon was the photos that has been published on Sina Weibo.

  4. Continue… • Although the photos circulated online provide a solid evidence of his behavior, which attracted tremendous attention from the mass media. Li Yang was never been prosecuted. And later he sent the message showed below. • Despite those photos that strongly proved his behavior, the ruling was still disappointing. There are no legal responsibilities for him to take. Justice was not done. The case was settled out of the court. The message she wrote on Sina Weibo in which she hoped that her husband could give a reply. The picture on the right is one of the conversation Kim and her husband had after she posted the photos on her Weibo.

Characteristic of domestic violence in china • Universality and severity- Even in family that were highly educated could present domestic violence. • Recurrently- Because the lack of laws, the villain would usually repeat its abusive behavior until any forms of external forces stepped in. • Elusive- Most of the victims choose to hind the fact of their were abused, which give difficulties for others to discover. • Multiformity- from sexually abuse to physical and metal. There were uncountable forms of domestic violence exist in China.
