  1. The Baltic International Academy accepts over a hundred foreign students and students from other towns per year. There are a number of options for foreign students coming to Riga to study at university.Foreign students can live in dormitories, rent a room or a flat. The cost of accommodation depends on the level of proposed amenities and the number of people living in one room, e.g. ·the minimal level of amenities necessary for living– appr. 45 Ls per month; ·better living conditions – 60-150 Ls; ·the cost of accommodation in a private flat – 3-4 Ls/m2. Students from another countries coming to study at the Baltic International Academy can stay at the following student hotels: ·“PRIMA”; ·“HOTEL APALENIS”. All three hotels are situated near the Academy, and are sufficiently comfortable. If required, students can contact a hotel, hostel or student hotel at any other university and stay there if rooms are available.

Student Hotel“PRIMA” • Address:Reznas street 10, (a new nine-storey white building), Riga • Phone: (+371) 67112260 • Allocation: rooms for two or three people, in area 11 m2 and 18 m2 Furniture: a table, chairs, beds, wardrobe (there are bunk beds in the 11 m2 rooms; and single storey beds are in the 18 m2 rooms). • Amenities:toilet facilities – shower cubicle, sink, flush toilet. • A kitchen is available on each floor. Kitchens are supplied with a sink, fridge, microwave and electric oven.

  3. Student Hotel“PRIMA” • Security: the building is provided with 24-hour guard. • Additional services. Café, gym, computer room and laundry services are not included in the cost of accommodation. There are discounts available for these services for student hotel guests.

  4. Student Hotel “PRIMA” • Transport:it takes 5 minutes to walk to the Academy from the student hotel. Please take Trolleybus No.15 to reach City Centre (Central Station), which takes only 15 minutes. • Cost varies from 60 Lsto 150 Ls depending on the floor and room area. The cost includes change of bed linen.

Student Hotel“HOTEL APALENIS” • Address:Lauvas street 2, (a five-storey brick building, three-star hotel), Riga • Phone: (+371) 66015709, 26387052 • Allocation: rooms for one or two people. • Furniture: a table, two chairs, two beds, • closet, shelf for footwear. • Amenities:toilet facilities – shower cubicle, sink, flush toilet in each room.

  6. Student Hotel“HOTEL APALENIS” • A kitchen is available on each floor.Kitchens are supplied with a sink, fridge and microwave oven. • Security: 24-hour guard. • Additional services. A dental surgery, café, pancake house, fitness centre, swimming-pool and sauna, fashion shop for young people, laundry are available in this building. It is possible to install a fridge, Internet and TV in the room.

  7. Student Hotel“HOTEL APALENIS” • Transport: The student hotel is situated straight across the road from the Baltic International Academy. Please take Trolleybus No.15 to reach City Centre (Central Station), which takes only 15 minutes. • Cost varies from 70 Lsto 110 Ls depending on the floor and room area. The cost includes change of bed linen.
