  9. Supports Canadian researchers in accessing international R&D collaborative opportunities through the development of partnerships with key players in other countries/economies. Supports activities (projects) that aim to build on targeted relationships between Canadian companies and/or researchers and key players in other countries Allows for formal discussions required to initiate collaboration on future international research and development initiatives that could lead to downstream commercialization results. Up to 75% of eligible project costs can be reimbursed to successful applicants at the conclusion of the project Eligible project costs include: Travel and related costs airfare, local transportation, accommodation, meals and incidentals Other non-research costs Meeting costs (workshops and seminar expenses, hospitality) Participation at targeted exhibitions and conferences Pursuit of large scale projects (such as EU Framework) Cost sharing for the development of legal documentation Translation services Photocopies, printed materials Pursuit for the acquisition of financial investors What eligible costs are supported?

The International Science & Technology Partnerships Program (ISTPP) was announced by the Government of Canada in 2005, to promote international collaborative research and development activities. The five-year, $20-million program will increase the international competitiveness and prosperity of Canada by building stronger science and technology relationships with Israel, India, China and Brazil. International Science and Technology Partnerships Program (ISTPP)

  14. DFAIT has selected International Science and Technology Partnerships Canada (ISTPCanada) as the delivery organization for the India, China and Brazil components of the ISTPP. ISTP Canada will: support up to 50% of the costs of approved joint research projects proposed by companies and universities/colleges and other private sector research and development institutes. conduct matchmaking activities contribute funding to projects conducted by companies through the Professional Development Activity (PDA) process.   15. The Canada Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation (CIIRDF) is the delivery organisation for the Israel component of the ISTPP. CIIRDF will: Promote and market the benefits of joint Canadian-Israeli R&D collaboration; Match companies in one country seeking a research partner in the other; Support projects by contributing up to 50% of the joint R&D costs.   16. The Canada-California Strategic Innovation Partnership (CCSIP)  is a catalyst for collaborative research, development and delivery between Canada and the State of California. CCSIP will: Fund the development of new models of collaboration between Canada and California that leverage key research capabilities, address common priorities, and accelerate the delivery of research results; Launch revolutionary RD&D projects that aim to bring new products and services to market, and deliver economic and social benefits to citizens in both jurisdictions USA – CaliforniaCanada-California Strategic Innovation Partnership (CCSIP)www.ccsip.org
