  4. Why should my company get accredited ? Let clients know your company is professional. In 2009 Detroit International Airport – DTW added Accreditation as a requirement in their bid specifications. In 2010, the City of Warren, MI added Accreditation as a requirement in their bid specifications.

Accreditation gives you a real structure to pull all the random pieces of your business together and to find any pieces you might be missing.   9. How can Accreditation help my company ? Accreditation helps your company to get and stay organized, something your clients will notice. In 2009, Smith College in Northampton, MA added Accreditation as a bid specification requirement.

  10. Accreditation helps municipal and large clients too Municipalities and other agencies have specified accreditation as a way to improve their RFP/contracting processes. They have reported that Accreditation reduces applications and awards to unqualified companies that often cannot complete their obligations.   13. Once I enroll my company, how do we get Accredited? • 1. Use the checklist to compare what you already have in place as a company. • 2. Identify what you need to add. • 3. Use the CD to find info and templates.

  14. Once I enroll my company, how do we get Accredited? 4. Optional: You may mail-in items to TCIA, we will review and start your report. 5. Once you are ready, schedule a site visit. 6. The auditor will send a report with your status.

  15. How does TCIA help me get Accredited? TCIA has developed an Approved Accreditation Auditor and Consultant program. Consultants are available to help by phone, email, or at your company.

  18. How does TCIA help me market Accreditation? TCIA has developed a marketing CD you receive once Accredited. TCIA has a consumer website/consumer search engine: TreeCareTips.org TCIA works to promote Accreditation daily. Accredited companies have collaborated to produce some of the best results with TCIA assistance.
