1. DETI Homepage DETI ONLINE – GUIDE TO INFORMATION DETI’s main business functions. ‘standard utilities’ – these are classes of information commonly published by DETI’s business areas. Featured links to DETI’s sponsored bodies etc. Topics or subcategories within the selected business function Navigation pathway - where you are now

Navigating via Business Function • There are several ways to access information on the DETI website; • (a) Click on the required business area[or select the ‘About DETI’ option, for Department-wide issues such as Finance, Personnel, etc.] • (b) next, select the required ‘standard utility’ • In the example below,the selection made will display details of legislation relevant to DETI’s Energy function 2. (a) Select ‘Energy’ (b) select Legislation Navigation Pane Alternatively, you can select more specific subject matter - initiatives, policies, strategies, etc. - within the selected business function

3. Navigating via Standard Utilities • (a) Click on the ‘Home’ part of the navigation pathway to return to Homepage, and • (b) select a standard utility e.g. Publications, Consultations, Contacts, etc. • In the example below, the selection made will display Publications for all • DETI business areas (a) Return to Homepage (b) Select required option from Standard Utilities

4. Search Facility • Alternatively, you can use the ‘Search’ facility. • The search engine will sweep the entire DETI site for matching documents. Search criteria can also be refined by clicking on the ‘Full Search’ option to specify matching criteria or search a selected area of the site.
