### 3.2 Solve Linear Equations by Graphing

Vocabulary

Related Function: formed by moving all terms to one side & setting them equal to y or f(x).

The ROOT or ZERO of an equation is equal to the X-INTERCEPT of the Related Function.

Solve by Graphing:
• Move all terms to the RIGHT side of the equation

(So… 0 = all terms)

• Replace the 0 with y or f(x)
• Graph with a table
• X-intercept = Solution
