  5. Goals • Raise money for the American Cancer Society • Help community relations for both The Pettit National Ice Center & the American Cancer Society • Create a family fun atmosphere for everyone to enjoy and contribute.

  8. Event Logistics • Create a team • Raise money prior to event • Uniforms • Window stickers

  9. Liabilities • Walking, running or skating injuries • Paramedics on duty during the whole event

  10. Marketing & Advertising • Involve the community • Flyer • Press Release to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel • Online Calendars • Real Milwaukee, On Milwaukee and Milwaukee Moms

  11. Finance • Volunteer work • Window clings @ $0.25 each • Concessions • Facility • Pettit and American Cancer Society employees

  14. Feedback – Kevin Butler • Loves the idea – especially in July • Capacity would not be an issue at all • Did not like theme – Olympic theme • Past, present and future Olympians speak • Overall, thinks it would be a great, successful event

  15. Feedback – Allison Klein • Great Idea! • Change theme to: • Christmas in July • Olympics • Possible activities to include: • Frozen T-shirt Contest • Hockey Tournament • Chili cook-off • Figure Skating lessons • Ice Sculpting Contest • Glow sticks to illuminate the ice rink

  16. Feedback – Katie McCormick • The event should happen! • Local medical facility as first aid sponsor • Concessions – Rotary • Add an honorary survivor speaker and someone who cared for a loved one undergoing treatment

  18. Moving Forward… • We made adjustments because we actually want it to happen • Project gave us experience in our future fields • We want to make a difference and help such an important cause
