  1. SEO MARKETING This website is about the basic description of search engine optimization.

  2. What is seo? • It is the process of affecting the online visibility of a website or a webpage in a web search engine. In general, the earlier and more frequently a website appears in the search result list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine users. Why we need seo? • If you have a website, blog, online store .SEO helps your business grow and meet the business objectives. it is important because users trust search engines and having a presence in the top positions for the keywords the user is searching increases the website trust.

  3. What Are Meta Tags? • Meta tags are snippets of text that describe a page’s content; the meta tags don’t appear on the page itself, but only in the page’s code. We all know tags from blog culture, and meta tags are more or less the same thing, little content descriptors that help tell search engines what a web page is about.

  4. Importance Of Meta Tags • Meta Tags are important because they can have a big impact on your click-through-rate. This is because most search engines will pull your Title Tag and Meta Description to form the snippet of data when your pages are listed in organic search results. • Important Parts Of Meta Tags: • 1) Meta Title • 2)Meta Description

  5. META TITLE • Code sample • <head> <title>Example Title</title> </head> Optimal format • Primary Keyword - Secondary Keyword | Brand Name • 1) Meta Title: A title tag is an HTML element that specifies the title of a web page. Title tags are displayed on search engine results pages (SERPs) as the clickable headline for a given result, and are important for usability, SEO, and social sharing. The title tag of a web page is meant to be an accurate and concise description of a page's content. • Optimal title length • Google typically displays the first 50–60 characters of a title tag. If you keep your titles under 60 characters, our research suggests that you can expect about 90% of your titles to display properly. There's no exact character limit, because characters can vary in width and Google's display titles max out (currently) at 600 pixels.

  6. Meta description • The meta description is an HTML attribute that provides a brief summary of a web page. Search engines such as Google often display the meta description—typically up to 160 characters long—in search results where they can highly influence user click-through rates. • Example: • Meta description example Code sample • <head> <meta name="description" content="This is an example of a meta description. This will often show up in search results."> </head> Optimal length • Meta descriptions can be any length, but Google generally truncates snippets ~300 characters . It's best to keep meta descriptions long enough that they're sufficiently descriptive, so we recommend descriptions between 50–300 characters. Keep in mind that the "optimal" length will vary depending on the situation, and your primary goal should be to provide value and drive clicks.

  7. Sitemap • In simple terms, a Sitemap is an XML file that is full of your individual webpage’s URLs. It’s like an archive of every webpage in your website. This file should be easily discoverable in your site in order for search engine crawlers to stumble upon it. • What is a Sitemap for? • A Sitemap is usually used for the purpose of letting the search engine crawlers follow the links to all your individual webpages so that it won’t miss out on anything.

  8. HTML SITEMAP • It is an actual page of your website that outlines the complete structure of your site, and that links to all the important pages on your site. • A website has thousands of webpage categorized in different sections in form of directories. Now with this massive quantity of webpages user can feel himself at nowhere when he lands on such website. The first thing that can assist him is search option. But if he has no luck then HTML sitemap is the last resort for him where he can explore the website. • Secondly, as HTML sitemap links the resources internally and internal links help in improving keyword rankings; these sitemaps also help linked webpages in their rankings with search engines.

  9. XML SITEMAP • It is build for crawler to easily crawl all webpages. • XML sitemaps convey information about one thing: the URLs that make up a site. Each XML sitemap file follows the same basic form. A one-page site located at www.example.com would have the following XML sitemap: • The XML version and urlset are the same for every XML sitemap file. • The <loc> tag simply contains the absolute URL or locator for a page. <Lastmod> specifies the file’s last modification date. <Changefreq> indicates the frequency with which a file is changed. <Priority> indicates the file’s importance within the site • The URLs in an XML sitemap can be on the same domain or different subdomains and domains. However, each XML file can only contain 50,000 URLs per file and is limited to 10MB in size. To conserve bandwidth and limit file size, XML sitemaps can be compressed using gzip. When a site contains more than 50,000 URLs or reaches 10MB, multiple XML sitemaps need to be generated and called together from an XML site.

  10. Alt Attribute • Alt text (alternative text), also known as "alt attributes", “alt descriptions,” and technically incorrectly as "alt tags,” are used within an HTML code to describe the appearance and function of an image on a page. • Alt tags provide better image context/descriptions to search engine crawlers, helping them to index an image properly. • Code sample: • <img src="pupdanceparty.gif" alt="Puppies dancing">

  11. URL Structure • A URL (Uniform Resource Locator), more commonly known as a "web address", specifies the location of a resource (such as a web page) on the internet. The URL also specifies how to retrieve that resource, also known as the "protocol", such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, etc. • Code Sample • http://www.exampledomain.com Imposed Limits: • To correctly render in all browsers, URLs must be shorter than 2,083 characters. Optimal Format: • http://www.example.com/category-keyword/subcategory-keyword/primary-keyword.html • A well-crafted URL provides both humans and search engines an easy-to-understand indication of what the destination page will be about.

  12. Click and impression • A click-through is the actual number of times someone has taken their cursor, placed it on your advertising image and used their mouse to click on that image and be taken to your website. • The number of times someone clicked on your website in the search results . • the number of times your site appeared in Google's search results is called impression .

  13. Google Analytics • Google Analytics is a premium web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic, currently as a platform inside the Google Marketing Platform brand .

  14. How Does Google Analytics Work? • Google Analytics uses a small piece of Javascript tracking code to collect data about your website visitors and their interactions on your website. • After you create your Google Analytics account, you need to add the script on your website. MonsterInsights helps you properly and easily add Google Analytics to your WordPress site and makes sure that it’s sending all interactions to Google Analytics. • Once it’s setup, Google Analytics will drop a cookie in the user’s browser for your website. It will help to track every interaction that user performs on your site.
