  2. Los posesivos • Possessive adjectives are used to show ownership. • They agree in gender and number with the nouns they describe and always go in front of the noun. • That is, they agree with the thing possessed, not the possessor.

  4. When using “Our” you also need to check the gender of the noun. Remember always needs to match

  5. More examples • Mi amigoesinteresante. ( My friend is interesting) singular noun • ¿ Dondeestantuslibros? ( Where are your books?) plural noun • ¿ Son susniños? ( They are your children?) plural noun • Nuestracasaesgrande. ( Our house is big ) feminine/singular noun

Long –form possessive adjectives • Long possessive adjectives are used less often than the short-form possessive adjectives. • They are used to emphasize the owner of the noun, or to emphasize a personal relationship. • They are placed after the noun you modify. • You do use the definite or indefinite article in front of the noun, since the possessive adjective comes later. ¿ Dóndeestán los zapatostuyos? La reservacióntuyaes a las 5pm.
