  2. Cathay Pacific Theirs planes is one of the youngest, most modern passenger fleets in the world, with an average age of 7 years: a perfect balance of the assets of the very latest aircraft, designed to meet the needs of our many and varied destinations.

  3. Boeing 747-400 • Introducing the Boeing 747 "Jumbo" -- the largest commercial jetliner ever built. Cathay Pacific have nineteen 747-400s serving our most popular long-haul routes.

  4. Boeing 777-200 Fondly known as the "Triple Seven", this allows them to provide us with more personal space and comfort.

  5. Boeing 777-300 • The Boeing 777-300 is a stretched version of the 777-200. Cathay Pacific became the first airline to acquire this efficient, high-capacity aircraft in May 1998.

  6. Airbus Industrie340-600 • Currently the world's longest commercial airliner, the long range of the aircraft permits non-stop flights with full loads throughout the year from Hong Kong to virtually any major destination in the world. Cathay Pacific are the launch customer in Asia for the A340-600.

  7. Airbus Industrie340-300 • The Airbus Industrie A340 enables Cathay Pacific to fly even more non-stop flights from Hong Kong to long-haul destinations such as Rome and San Francisco.

  8. Airbus Industrie330-300 • The Airbus A330 is a twin-engine aircraft used for regional and medium-haul routes

  9. The PTV Revolution • You will find a myriad of entertainment choices appearing right in front of you on your Personal Television (PTV). PTVs are available in all seats, and you can now select from more than 20 different video channels in all classes, plus AVOD (Audio/Video On Demand) service* to First and Business Class passengers on all long-haul flights!

  10. Leisure Reading • We carry a wide range of newspaper and magazine titles in each flight for travellers in all classes. Including International titles, Hong Kong selections and reading material from your own home country. We also bring you Discovery, our award-winning inflight magazine on local cultures and happenings.

  11. Sounds like Magic • Tune in to our favourite music channel with their new audio system, designed to play striking notes in the air! From the latest pop songs to exclusive interviews with world-renowned artists, we now offer 23 different audio channels (from an original of 16) on all our flights!

  12. Community learning • But effective learning is just as much about communicating with and learning from others. To facilitate this, they arrange Learning Seminars and Staff Forums during lunch-time so that everyone can have a chance to hear and learn from fellow teammates and visiting professionals. We also have i-Suggest, a web-based "suggestion box" that encourages employees to directly contribute to the process of bettering business operations.

Made Fresh to Order • Last year, their became one of the first airlines to put rice cookers, toasters and skillets on board*, enabling their flight attendants to prepare freshly cooked rice, toast and eggs. First Class passengers can now goà la carte and choose their own meals and dine anytime they wish.Hmm, how about having fried eggs, sunny-side up?
