  1. Welcome How to guide

  2. Go to Website • Type in the URL address to Unique Learning System http://unique.n2y.com/

  3. Registration and Login • You should have already registered for the website. • Once you have registered and set your username and password, you will need to input this information into the appropriate boxes at the top of the page.

  4. Member Area • The Member Area should look like this, but with your username. • The Member Area houses all of the information you will need for ULS.

  5. Member Home • The left side of the webpage contains the navigational menu needed for accessing all of the information for ULS.

  6. ULS Dashboard • Go to “ULS Dashboard” to find lesson plans or student profiles to input student information.

  7. Add or Drop Students • The bottom of the page, will be the area for you to add or drop students from your class. This is also the area for you to input information and to complete the checkpoints for each student. • After you add a student, you may begin to edit his or her profile. Print out each profile and add to portfolio. • After editing the profile, complete the checkpoints (Pre/Post).

  8. My Students • After creating the profiles, you may now access “My Students” from the menu on the side of the webpage. • Input student information and details to create a profile

  9. Checkpoint Scores • After editing the profile, complete the checklist (Pre/Post). • The Pretest is to be completed before implementing the Curriculum. • After implementing the curriculum and at the end of the unit, complete the Posttest. • Make sure you have selected the correct month.

  10. Monthly Tools, Instructional Tools and Assessment Tools • Monthly Tools will help you plan for needed supplies, internet resources and supplemental reading. • Instructional Tools will help you with different instructional strategies and information needed for instruction. • Assessment Tools includes the information needed to assess your students.

  11. How to Download the Lesson Plans • Go to “ULS Dashboard” • To download all Lesson Plans, right click on the Download All Lessons tab • Select Save Target As We will need a page to state that each individual lesson (1- 25-29?) plan must also be downloaded and saved in current folder.

  12. Creating and Saving Adobe Files • Once selected, create a File Folder labeled “ULS” • Open the Folder • Press Save • Name the folder the same as it is found on the webpage i.e. Lesson 1: Ana Fiesta • This is be the best method to save an Adobe file. Without opening and viewing each and every file, you will save considerable time.

  13. Scope and Sequence • The Scope and Sequence is a broad view of what will be covered or introduced during the year.

  14. State Standards • You may also use the side menu to access the State Standards.

  15. Year Topics • Located on the side menu, this link helps you look at the band topics by year.

  16. Remember • You do not have to print every page. • You should not print every page. • Each lesson includes the differentiated levels of instruction. • Completing the student profile will give you the appropriate instructional level of each student. Use this level to aid you in your instruction.
