Morocco Product: Practical development in line with the set principles Green key Label (Clé Verte) Environmental management actions by accommodation providers, in collaboration with the FEE Blue Flag Label (Pavillon Bleu) Upgrading and management of beaches along with neighboring areas in compliance with the international standards set by the FEE Marrakech Palmeraie Conservation Programme The Palmeraieecosystem enhancement actions programme. Opening up of an eco-museum as a means to bolster the programme consolidation through sustainability and education Azur Plan-Eco Friendly All bids documents require that selected developers should comply with strict regulations in terms of actions related to the protection of environment and more specifically to the use of water

Morocco Product: Practical development in line with the set principles • Programme in place since 2005 with the labeling of 2 beaches : Ain Diab (Casablanca) and Essaouira • 2006: Two new Blue Pavilion awards were granted to Achakar Beach (Tangier – Asilah) and El Haouzia (El Jadida) • 2007: 6 other beaches are subject of submission for auditing for the standard. • Assisting Tunisia for the implementation of the programme Blue Flag

Morocco Product: Practical development in line with the set principles • Programme started up in March 2007 for a duration of 10 years, with the objective of planting 430,000 palm trees • Development project of an eco-museumin the Marrakech palmeraie comprising three themes: • Water • Oasis Garden • Rammed clay Architecture Marrakech Palmeraie
