POLICY HIGHLIGHTS • Adopt sustainable and environmentally responsible principles to guide CPUC policies • Develop a framework and bridge the gap between CPUC’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives, and sustainability and environmental responsibility • Establish zero waste, carbon neutrality, and reduction of the environmental footprint as operational goals • Be an environmental leader by going beyond compliance

POLICY HIGHLIGHTS • Implement a Green fleet program (vehicle transportation, transit, parking, etc.) • Implement conservation measures that consume less energy – fuel, water, electricity, time, funds, and other resources • Expect similar environmental standards from vendors, contractors, consultants, and other entities • Educate employees and the community to be environmentally responsible

  6. PROPOSAL • Adopt Green management policy • Establish & implement stds., benchmarks, performance measures & success factors • Educate, train, & champion policies & standards • Establish & staff a Green Mgmt Program • Establish a Chief Green Officer position
