Concepts • Feudalism- Be able to explainit in a few sentences • Church Modes- Know all 7 modes and what notes each one starts on • TrebleClef-Identify the lines and the spaces • Troubadours-what are they? Can youname one? • Composers: Westudiedtwo of them. Be able to namethem, know theirbirth and death dates, and the piece of music eachwasmostfamous for. • Instruments: Identify by listening, know which instrument familyitbelongs to, and drawthem • Sacred vs. Secular- Be able to tell the difference

  6. How Should You Study? • Make sure you have all the pages of readings and go back and ACTUALLYREADTHEM. (pgs. 11-19) • Go to the music history Wiki and check out the PowerPoints that have all of the listening examples on them…and then LISTEN • Be able to define all terms right off the top of your head • Use this as a guide and be comfortable explaining all the concepts listed
