customers are thinking. Your job is to help them

overcome obstacles that prevent them from trusting

you and your company. Keep in mind, also, that

when you work for and represent a company, you

are that company to your customer

A man is at waiting in line to order a sub. He looks at the menu and orders a Buffalo Chicken.


“And what kind of vegetables would you like on your sandwich.’’

“Pickles, onion, lettuce and chipotle southwest sauce.”

(mumbles tomato very softly)

“Is that all?”

“UM, NO I said TOMATO!”

“Ok sir I am sorry for the mistake.”

“I hope you have learned from the mistake.”

Ordering What wanted on sub

“May I have a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich please.”

“Yes sir and what kind of bread.”

“Wheat.”

“What kind of cheese.”

“American.”

“And would you like it toasted.”

“Yes I would but don’t toast it too long because I like it crispy not burnt.”

“Ok sir.”

The Checkout sandwich.’’

“That will be 5 dollars and 99 cents tax included.”

“WHY THE HECK IS IT SO MUCH FOR THIS SUB. I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY A FIVE DOLLAR FOOTLONG.”

“Sir that ended last week.”

“I want my money back or a cookie.”“Sir I can give you a cookie for a extra 2 dollars.”

“NO.”

“I can give u a deal on the cookies, 3 cookies for $1.50.”

“Ok that would be fine I guess.”

I learned that if you’re a complaining customer you will probably sound stupid and you should just work with the people working. Even if you try to get a deal on something don’t get mad they just doing there job.
