  6. Section Annual Report objective • Aims at replacing the quarterly report • Reduce paperwork burden • Consolidated view of sections activities • More extensive information • Formatted, comparable information • Source of information for DVP to fill his annual report

  7. Purpose • Section board: • Overview of year achievements / forecast – performance monitoring • A planning framework • District council • Highlight strenght and weaknesses • Identify specific and generic needs • DVP Board • Inputs to improve ISA governance & operations

  8. Anual reports : difficulties • Difficult to get the reports • 10/13 responded • Like quarterly report… • Topics not always understood • Need better description • Financial questions skipped • ??? Well kept secrets??? • Difficult to process reports • How to use them?

  9. Annual report : successes • Positive feedback • Well received by DVP board • Discussed in Long Beach PSM by DVP reporting task force • Useful information gathered

  10. Annual report outcome • Most active sections are the most performing… • ISA membership value is questionned • Specifically by struggling sections • Many area of ISA domains are not explored • Education, certification, publications, standards, divisions, employement

  11. Annual report outcome • No much efforts to raise student sections • No motivation to create new sections or subsections • The only exception is Leinster • Sweeden feels Findland section re-charter as a loss of membership

  12. Annual report discussion • The form needs many improvements • Any topic can be challenged • Need to be discussed by all section presidents • Quick review
