  3. How much time do you have to discuss grading issues after an assignment has been graded, including grade modification? One Week If you notice in Week 9, for example, a homework assignment of Week 1 was submitted but you didn’t receive a grade for it, is it too late to change your grade? Yes, you should have reported it no later than the end of Week 2 Is whining about grades permitted? No

  4. What is the consequence of missing and/or being late more than a total of 3 times? Your final grade will not be curved IF there is a curve imposed on the final grades. If you were late 2 times and missed 2 classes, would your final grade be curved? No What is the exception to the above? A verifiable emergency

  5. When can you expect a response to an email message during the week? Between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Can you expect a response to an email message during the week-end? No, email is not accessed during the week-end. May you come to my office to ask questions, clarify confusion, etc.? Of course. Please do so during my office hours or by appointment

  6. Are there make-up exams? No. If you miss an exam without a verifiable and acceptable excuse, you will receive a “zero” for that exam. When are homework assignments due? At the beginning of class on the due date. No late homeworks are accepted. Is a “B” considered a good grade? YES! A “B” translates to VERY GOOD

  7. Should you get up and walk out of class during class unless you have an emergency? No, this is very distracting. There is a 5 minute break toward the half time mark. May you use your cell phone or text for any reason during class time? No, only during the break. During class time, should the computers be used for anything other than class work? No, other than during the break.
