  3. Situation I was brought in to: • Stabilize and coordinate standards activities within the Alliance • Move from a reactionary to anticipatory environment • Expand from a standards administration role to include exploring emerging technologies

  4. Mission & Goals A technology and standards process that: • explores and understands • current and • emerging technologies • uses that knowledge to effectively • promote standards policy • influence standards policy • for the good of the industry.

  5. Accomplishments • Met with Sector personnel • Met with IHS/Global re: Catalog • Worked with ANSI & IEC USNC • Reconstructed ISBN process • Held TAG Strategy meeting • Revitalizing Source Code & Date Code Book • Shifted Engineering Web Site to new EIA site

  9. ETCEIA Technology Council For the members: • High-value sharing • Crucial cross-sector insight • A new avenue for networking • Paves the way for expedient adoption and wide market penetration of new technologies • Value proposition for technologists and scientists

  10. ETCEIA Technology Council For the entire Alliance: • Known as the place creating a new, anticipatory and rigorous model of standard setting for a new era. • Create a new dialogue at senior levels of member companies. • Generate public awareness of EIA.
