  2. 2018-19 CCSD Strategic Plan The strategic plan is revised annually in response to: • Data analysis of annual goal metrics • Input from a variety of stakeholder groups • Most recent research in the field

What stays the same? • District Commitments: GVC, MTSS, and Personalized Learning • Focus Areas (Minor wording change in Focus 3) • Vast majority of the language in the commitment statements • Goals 1b, 1c, 3b, 3c, • Goals 1d, 2a, 2b, 2c, and 4b have similar focus with some revision • Overall intent of the plan: Achieve our district mission and vision and foster a culture of continuous improvement

What’s new? • Title: Strategic Plan-Was “Shared Beliefs, Commitments, and Goals • A few layout changes-Major commitments moved to the bottom right with the shape indicating a more interconnected relationship between GVC, MTSS, and Personalized Learning. Our “Why’s” of personalized learning: Equity, Engagement, Empowerment have been added. • Addition of the words, caring, developing leadership capacity, strategies, positive and revision of the To Do This We Will... statements in Focus 3 • Goals 1a, 3a, 4a

What are anticipated challenges? • Expected reactions to second order change: culture, communication, order, input • Teachers feeling ownership of the plan • Creating and sustaining an effective MTSS • Supporting leaders as they manage complex change • Building a concrete vision of personalized learning

  7. How can the School Board Support? • Be familiar with the plan • Invite others to contact principals or the district office team with questions • Look for examples of the plan in action when visiting schools • Share successes • Ask questions about our progress
