  2. Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (KJV) He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? (NASB95)

  3. Introduction Revelation: “He has told you, O man, what is good” (Deut. 30:15-16; Eph. 3:3-5; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). Requirement: “And what does the Lord require of you…” (Deut. 10:12-13; Luke 1:5-6; 1 Cor. 4:1-2).

  4. To Do Justice The Hebrew word mishpat refers to “judgment, court, case, decision, justice…” It is Characteristic of God (Deut. 32:3-4; Ps. 9:7-8; 19:9-10; 89:14). It is also Required of Man (Gen. 18:19; Lev. 19:35-37; Prov. 12:5; Isa. 1:16-17).

  5. To Love Kindness The Hebrew word hesed refers to “loyal love, unfailing kindness, devotion, i.e., a love or affection that is loyal and steadfast.” It is Characteristic of God (Exod. 34:6-7; Ps. 23:6; 86:5; Mic. 7:18). It is also Required of Man (Ps. 141:5; Prov. 3:3; 19:22; 31:26).

  6. To Walk Humbly The Hebrew word tsana refers to one who is “humble, modest, i.e., pertaining to humility and lack of pretentiousness or pride.” God is Awesome and Exalted (Exod. 15:1-3; Ps. 34:1-3; 97:7-9). Man should be Humble and Lowly (Prov. 11:2; Ps. 25:9; 37:11; 76:9).
