  5. 2008 Summer Olympics • broke the Commonwealth record of the 400m freestyle with a time of 4:02:24 • won an Olympic gold medal of 400m freestyle with a time of 4:03.22

  6. 2008 Summer Olympics • set a new British, Commonwealth, European and Olympic record of 8:18.06 in the women's 800 metre freestyle • Won the 800m Olympic final in a World record time of 8:14.10
