  1. Industry Partnered FYP2014-15 Prof. Rosanna Chan

  2. Background • In order to provide more industrial/external exposures to the final year students, IE professors have invited / are inviting a number of external partners to co-advise FYPs

  3. Format • Similar to all FYPs, an industry partnered FYP will • Have a primary supervisor from the IE Department (i.e. the IE Professor) • Be co-supervised by an external advisor from the partner companies • The industry partnered FYPs may lead to summer internships upon further mutual agreement between the industry partners and the participating students

  4. Format • Students will basically conduct their FYPs on campus, and still be required to meet with their IE supervisor regularly. But they may also be required to conduct part of their work at partners’ locations

  5. Procedures • Basically, the selection procedures and schedule is the SAME as all other Phase 1 FYPs, in addition • Participating students need to submit their CVs and academic transcripts to the professors, which may be forwarded to the co-advisors for further consideration • Participating students may also be invited to attend a selection interview conducted within the IE department
