  4. By the end of this lesson you will:KNOW how to access your school email outside of school.LEARN how to use the school email to send and receive emails. LEARN how to use the signature and address book facilities of the email software.

  5. Can You... 1) Find the email icon on your desktop? 2) Locate where you can access your email on the school website? 3) Identify which is the one you can use at home to access your school email and why?

  6. Email Challenge 1 Send an email about using the address book to another student in the lesson. In the email explain which lesson you have enjoyed the most and why.

  7. STUCK? 3 B4 Me Use this method if you get stuck!

  8. Email Signature • Used to personalise your emails.

  9. Email Signature Challenge 2 Create your own email signature. Send an email to 2 different people in the class using the To button.

  10. Challenge 3 • Send an email to Miss Lewty explaining: • What the CC button does? • Why is it used? • HINT • Use the internet to find the information

  11. Extension Activity • What other facilities does MS Outlook offer? • How could you use these facilities to help you at school?

  12. Homework - due Access your school email from outside of school. Send an email to Miss Lewty answering the questions below: • See how many different email hosts examples you can find e.g. Gmail, hotmail, Outlook etc. • What is the difference between webmail and POP3 email accounts? • Which is the more secure and why?

  13. Paper Aeroplanes • Create a paper aeroplane: • On 1 wing write 2 things you have learnt in today’s lesson. • On the other wing write 1 thing you would like to find out more about about and why.
