Grant Opportunity • MDH will fund projects to expand electronic data exchange at the local level • Total funding $2 million, up to $25,000 per partner • Oct 2012 to Sept 2013 • One-to-three in-kind match required • At least one partner must be eligible for federal Meaningful Use funds • First-come first-serve funding

  8. 8. Data Exchange Today • Many of you exchange data daily or weekly • The most common means of data exchange are: • Fax • Mail • Courier • Phone • Which providers do you exchange with?

  9. 9. Good News! You can participate. • Even without additional integration development from your software vendor, you can have basic, secure data exchange for 1 year free as part of this program in addition to the other project benefits. • We need volunteers/nominations for: • Local Project Lead: liaison with partner agencies, with other localities doing similar projects, and with the state • Fiscal Agent: responsible to cut checks, receipt in money and prepare the quarterly grant report to be submitted for reimbursement
