  2. Summary • Old yeller is mainly about a dog named old yeller who lives with a boy named Travis. Old yeller grows on to them and then a fox with rabies bites him. They might have to shoot him, and all the family is sad.

  3. Fred Gipson • Fred Gipson is the author of Old yeller. The sad, Great book Gipson wrote attracted lots of people. Soon Gipson became famous and his book had the honor to became a ‘Classic’. Gipson died on August 14, 1973.

  4. Setting • This book is starting in a small town in Texas in the late1860s.

  5. Problem • Old Yeller gets bitten by a fox who has rabies and they might have to shoot him.

  6. Solution • I won’t tell you if they have to shoot him or not, But they do get a new dog that’s like a miny old yeller.
