  4. The CAI Team • Multidisciplinary team of clinical investigators, other researchers, clinicians and educators • Leader affiliated with BCCH, SHHCC and/or BCW and/or BCMHAS

  5. Call For Proposals • Online registration • Deadline: Oct. 25, 2010 • Letters of Intent • Deadline: Nov. 1, 2010 • External peer review

  6. External Review Panel • Dr. Michael Kramer, Scientific Director, CIHR IHDCYH • Dr. Janet Rossant, Chief of Research, HSC • Dr. Hugh O’Brodovich, Chair, Pediatrics, Stanford University • Sir Al Aynsley-Green, Former UK Children's Commissioner

  7. Call For Proposals • Announcement: Nov. 30, 2010 • 3-5 teams: Full proposals and implementation plan • $25K each for development • Deadline for submission:Jan. 31, 2011

  8. Call For Proposals • External peer review • One CAI selected • Announcement: Mar. 31, 2011 • Funding starts April 2011

  9. Performance Review • Site visit and peer evaluation in 2013 (2nd year of funding) • If successful focus for ongoing program funding of clinical and research excellence

  10. Collaborative Areas of Innovation • This is the first CAI call • Additional calls will occur in the future
