Indoor air quality action planning and implementing a local community program

Indoor Air QualityAction Planning and Implementing a Local Community Program

For you to conduct a successful outreach program remember

For You to Conduct a Successful Outreach Program, Remember…

YOU CAN CHANGE HUMAN BEHAVIOR!

  • It takes the right message

  • Delivered to the right people

  • At the right time

  • It takes persistence

Prior to developing an action plan

Prior to Developingan Action Plan ...

  • Access the needs of the community

    Who is at most risk?

What are the best channels to reach them?

  • Establish realistic goals

What is it you are trying to achieve?

  • Identify key player partnerships

Are there others with similar interests?

  • Establish a target audience

    Who is most influential?

Developing a 5 step action plan

Developing a 5-Step Action Plan

  • Step 1 - Mission

The mission is a statement of why you want to implement the program

  • Step 2 - Goals

A goal is a broad statement of what is to be accomplished within a specific time period

  • Step 3 - Objective

An objective is a narrower and more direct action statement coming out of the goals

  • Step 4 - Tasks and/or Activities

The tasks and/or activities are the day-to-day actions that accomplish the objectives

  • Step 5 - Determining Measurable Outcomes

Measure and evaluate everything that you can quantify
