  3. General objectives To develop four basic skills, listening, speaking, reading, writing. To enable the students to develop interest in English language. To provide knowledge and understanding. To develop the power of imagination of students.

  4. Previous knowledge assumed Pupil teacher will assume that students already have some knowledge about Indian festivals.

  5. Previous knowledge testing 1.Q: What are these? ( By showing candles ) 2.Q: What is this? (By showing crackers ) 3.Q: In which festival we explode crackers and light candles? 4.Q: Tell me what we do on Diwali?

  6. Announcement of the Topic By getting satisfactory and unsatisfactory response from the students pupil teacher will announce the topic by saying, dear students! Today we will discuss about most important festival “Diwali”.

  7. Presentation Pupil teacher will use direct method of teaching but according to the situation, she will be use bilingual method, black board summary, active participation of the students, developing questions will be asked side by side.

  8. Subject matter India is the land of different festivals. These festivals are connected with each Religion. Diwali is one of the important festival in our country. Diwali means “ a row of lights”. It comes off twenty days after Dusehra festival. It generally falls in the month of October or November. Rama comes to Ajodhya on this day after 14 years. Shri Guru Har Gobind was set free by Mugal emperor on this day. People decorate their houses and Harimander sahib with candles and diyas, They put new dresses. They buy sweets, toys, crackers. Crackers are exploded at the night. The Hindus worship the goddess of Laxmi. Prayers are offered for health, wealth and prosperity. Some people gamble this night. It is an evil. It should be avoided.

  9. Specific objectives To enhance their knowledge about Indian festivals. To given them the knowledge of Diwali festival and to tell them the reason why it is celebrated. To recall the history of the day. To make them understand the activities take place on this day. To aware them about the bad things that take place on this day.

  13. Generalization While generalizing the topic, Pupil teacher will announce that well students today we developed the knowledge about the Diwali. IT is the festival of light. Some people worship Laxmi but some do bad habit, we should avoid this bad habit.
