  1. At the Shepparton English Language Centre Outposts – Wilmot Rd Primary School, Bourchier Street Primary School, St Georges Rd Primary School and Gowrie Street Primary School, Shepparton ENERGY SAFETY WEEK 2009

  2. All students in Australia need to learn about safety using gas and electricity. At the Shepparton English Language Centre Outposts, our students are New Arrivals to Australia from countries such as China, India, Afghanistan and Sudan. As part of their English language lessons, we have focussed on safety, with each outpost looking at safety in the kitchen and safety with gas and electricity.   3. GOWRIE Street Outpost Adila knows not to overload power points. Nasim shows us the kitchen rules. Annas in the home corner.

  4. Bourchier Street Primary School Sally shows off her hard work. At Gowrie Street, students completed Levels 1 and 2 from the Energy Safety Week Resource Book. At Bourchier Street, students completed Levels 2 and 4 from the Energy Safety Week Resource Book.

  5. WILMOT ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL Students at Wilmot Road participated in many of the activities from the Energy Safety Week resource book. Bright, colourful posters adorn the classroom walls about safety.

  6. Our new arrivals at St Georges Road enjoy cooking once a week. As part of Energy Safety Week, students increased their focus on safety in the kitchen, looking at the safe use of appliances. ST GEORGES ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL

  7. THANK YOU Thanks to the resources supplied by Origin Energy we have been able to enhance our term theme of Safety by including Energy Safety Week. These resources enabled the outpost schools to provide productive, informative and most of all, enjoyable classroom activities.
