Definition Value methodology ...(synonyms: value analysis, value engineering, and value management) is a function-oriented, systematic, team approach to add value to a program, facility, system, or service. Improvements like performance, quality and life cycle cost are paramount in the value equation.

  3. Background • Lawrence Miles “father of VA and VE” • Began at GEearly 1940’s • Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE) formed in 1959 • SAVE International name change 1996

Vision • SAVE Members Add Value to Projects, Processes & Services • Corporations and Governments rely on Function Analysis and the Problem Solving Value Methodology to attain their Strategic Goals and achieve Organizational Success • SAVE International is known as the Premier Value-Based Organization with highly skilled members who offer Value-Based Leadership
