  2. Basic Skills Pre-Academy Spring 2012 Updates • Enrollment • 18 students completed ADJ 33E and REA86 and are currently completing ENG60A4 • Modifications to curriculum • More time and emphasis on ethics • More time and emphasis on report writing • Closing Survey • Results

Basic Skills Pre-Academy Spring 2012 Updates Continued… • Activities in Process for Fall 2012 • Increasing enrollment to a maximum of 35 to account for attrition rates • Recruitment procedures • Increasing and improving use of technology in and out of the classroom and program: SharePoint; on-line student services; TABE assessment; SkillsTutor; and Blackboard training for faculty • Basic Skills Pre-Academy Manual • Intervention activities to decrease initial Basic Academy drop-out rates; increase Basic Academy enrollment and success rates; and reach more recruits prior to entering the Academy

Curriculum Redesign – Scenario Village • Work collaboratively with Sheriff’s Department in direct relation to implementation of Scenario Village • Identify team in coordination with Sheriff Academy instructors and staff to complete any necessary redesigns and/or updates • Update College CORs and SLOs for impacted Academy and AOT courses
