  3. Word Work kitten Look at this word. You can read this word because you know how to divide the word into syllables and blend the syllables together. This word has two consonants together in the middle. What are they? Where do they divide this word? Now read the word parts from left to right. What is the word. To read a word like kitten, I figure out its parts, read them from left to right, and blend the parts to read the whole word.
