The Proposal – technical details Title: „An attempt to revitalize social dialogue and national industrial relations systems in some of the CEECs” - lesson learnt and best practices in the way out of the crisis Application reference: VP/2014/004/0086 Proposal submitted on: 13th of May, 2014 E-mail notification received: September, 2014 Signed Grant Agreement received: January, 2015 Grant agreement number:VS/2014/0588 Start date: November, 2014 (23 months, 14/10/2016)

  5. About the money… 90 % EC grant + 10 % self contribution Grant received: 159 915.16EUR (self contribution: 10 %EUR total: 171 109.22EUR Pre financing (40 %), further pre-financing (40 %) and final balance payment (30 %)

  6. The Proposal – the idea behind The project builds on key findings of the Industrial Relations in Europe 2012 report. The project focuses oncollecting more information by academics and joint learning of representatives of social partners (first ofall, representatives of trade union organizations) of the involved countries - Hungary, Bulgaria, Lithuania,Latvia and Poland. Also it aims to exchange of best practices within the CEECs and more developedcountries (France). The project partners would introduce in details their industrial relation system, ways ofsocial dialogue and related activities, how they cope with the challenges imposed by the crisis, especiallysince 2012.

  7. Implementation • The objectives are aimed to be reached by: • separate country studies on national IR and changes since 2012 • country studies are presented and discussed on international level, at workgroup meetings –> short summaries • based on country studies and result of the workgroup meetings, comprehensive summary study will beprepared • The results will be disseminated on a final conference aimed to bring wider audience together (EU and national level social partners and experts) • The results are also disseminated on a website.

Workgroup meetings Date: 1, 5 day meetings in early 2016 Location: Lithuania (1-2 February, 2016), Bulgaria (10-11 March, 2016) and Latvia (4-5 April, 2016) Participants: 26 persons from all countries concerned + experts / speakers (4 persons) + interpreters Responsible body: LIGA Trade Unions in cooperation with the relevant trade union associated partner/ co-partner Interpretation: English + Hungarian + local language Target groups: workshop activity 1. in Lithuania / Vilnius: international workshops/trainings for trade union leaders / education and IR experts of trade unions workshop activity 2. in Bulgaria / Sofia: international workshops/trainings for national level social partners on IR / social dialogue in order to raise awareness of different systems workshop activity 3 in Latvia / Riga: international workshops/trainings for trade union representatives (organizers, youth members, referees, site level leaders)

Final international conference Date: 2 days in September, 2016 Location: Budapest, Hungary Responsible body: LIGA Trade Unions with the co-operation of the involved partners/ associated organizations • The aim of the conference is the summing up of the issues negotiated at workgroup meetings, discussion of country reports and presenting of first draft of the comprehensive report, getting familiar with the opinions of the stakeholders. The event strengthens the international cooperation and solidarity among the national worker’s organisations and social partners through international exchange of experiences. Participants: 52 people including external foreign speakers (4) (+ interpreters) • Representatives of social partners and trade unionists from Hungary (15), Lithuania (5), Estonia (5), Bulgaria (5), Poland (5), France (2), also in order to disseminate the results of the project and involving more concerned countries and EU level stakeholders, participants are to be invited from other countries as well (ETUC, EC) Interpretations will be available in English, Hungarian + 2 optional languages
